Last night McKenzie and I went to the club with a lot of Mike's family for there 4th of July celebration. McKenzie was old enough this year to do many of the things they have there for kids!
She rode the pony (well really just sat on it - once it moved she wanted off).
She played in the little kids moonbounce/ball pit (again she just sat there and held a ball while she watched her cousin Timmy do belly flops, but she had fun).
She ate juicy watermelon and drank lemonade out of a straw (she just learned to do this a few weeks ago and I had forgotten to take a sippy cup for her).
(Notice it dripping off her chin!)
She got her first caricature done.
She got her first face painting - red, white, and blue fireworks - and played with glow necklaces.

She enjoyed seeing the fireworks! She didn't get scared at all. So now we are 2 for 2 (last year she liked them too)!

Here's a video of the fireworks, but I had the camera turned vertically, so it looks like they were being shot off from the left instead of from below!
So we had a great time, but of course we missed Daddy and wished he was there with us. Here are a few more pictures...
