I've been behind in posting - too much going on with the upcoming move to Texas! Saturday was the NICU Reunion at Georgetown University Hospital - where McKenzie was born and spent the first 11weeks of her life getting strong enough to come home.

This was her 2nd reunion since she was discharged and may be her last since we are moving. Last year we saw a lot of families from the days McKenzie was there, probably since they were the "newest batch" to be discharged, it was their first reunion. This year there weren't as many people from her time there. We saw the neonatologists, a few nurses, her speech and pt therapists from those days, and a few families we knew with their preemies.
McKenzie's "buddy" from the NICU was Kate. They were born on the same day and their first isolettes were next to each other. We look forward to seeing Kate and her family at the reunions. Of course they have no idea about any of this, but we tried to get them to pose for a picture together. Though I took a bunch of pictures, I always had the back of one of their heads. Here is one of Kate sharing her goldfish with McKenzie.
They really weren't feelin' the pictures. Look at the faces they were giving me...
