Let's Rodeo San Antonio

Last Friday when Mike was off work, we all went to the Rodeo in San Antonio. We didn't actually go to see the rodeo, we just walked around the grounds and saw the animals and ate some food. We tried to take McKenzie on some carnival rides there, but she was too small - even for the carousel! But that's ok because she got to ride her first real pony.

At first she wasn't so sure and ended up getting off

But as soon as Mike took her off she was crying and reaching out to get back on the pony, so the next time they stopped we tried again.

She was excited and was saying "my turn" but she still started crying and trying to get off when she got back on the pony.

We decided to keep her on it since we knew if we took her off she would just want back on. As soon as the pony started going and Daddy was walking with her, she was fine and started enjoying it and waving and smiling. Of course when the ride was over she was crying again to get back on.

Then we went to see some more animals at the petting zoo part...
We were surprised she did so well because there were a lot of big animals in a small area. She even wanted to pet the big llama.

I love the way she went up to this goat and bent her head down to look at it as if she were going to start talking to it.
They also had 3 little piggies with their mama which was so cute.
